I just got back from an AMAZING Mastermind Retreat with some other wonderful Creatives! We always share our best tips and secrets. Some of which, I am going to share with you today! Join me over on The Snap Society Facebook Page and I will be sharing with you 2 Amazing Photography hacks that every Photographer should know about (especially if you use Instagram). I seriously can not believe I did not know this before!
I just got back from a Mastermind Retreat. I took the summer off, which has been really great way to find some clarity. I don’t want to just put out content to put out content. I want to give out quality content that is useful. I decided that I don’t want to say anything if I don’t have anything to say. AND now I have a WHOLE LOT to say!
This whole Mastermind thing – I started in one about 2.5 years ago. These women are incredible. None of them are Photographers. If you get into the right Mastermind, with the right people, it is going to up-level your game. Whether it is your personal life or your business. It is a way for you to grow. A Mastermind is a group of people who come together with a common thread that want to grow and sharpen each other.
How many of you use Instagram for your business? Do you use Instagram more, or Facebook more for your business? I am more Facebook savvy. My Facebook knowledge outweighs my Instagram knowledge.
Here’s the thing, the most annoying thing to me about Instagram is that if I want to post a photo that I’ve edited from my computer, I would just get so annoyed with how many steps it took. I used to edit my photos on my computer, I would email it to myself, I would open on my phone, download the photo and then put it on Instagram. And I just don’t have time for all those steps!
What I just learned – you can just Air Drop the photos! This seems like a no-brainer, but no one told me about Air Dropping! If you have a Mac computer, I want to encourage you to Air Drop your photos.
Okay, let’s switch gears a bit. I want to share this exercise that I did in my Mastermind group that I don’t think I have ever shared.
Many times we are talking about offerings – like what am I going to offer? Every single time you start thinking about an offering, this is a great template to use if you are deciding what to offer your client. You can use this template to help you decide if what you want to offer is worth it to you.
- Get a piece of paper and a pen, and make 3 columns.
- First column is Offering, second column is Time, third column is $$
- Think about what you want to offer
- Think about how much time this offering will take
- Think about the pre-time to prepare
- The time doing the shoot
- Then all the time editing
- Think about how much money you need to make
- You need to take in consideration of what the market value is in your area
- How much are you going to charge?
- Do you have enough interest?
Now you can make an educated decision on if you really want to do this offering!
