INTRODUCING: Jes Noelle Photography
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE BUSINESS?
Almost 5 years.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THIS FIRST PICTURE?
I had a little point and shoot canon. This was my first son at 10 months old. I was a big fan of Picnik back then. Bless me, the saturation overload…whoa. The over vibrancy makes my soul hurt knowing what I do now. I always like to say, “you live and learn!”
NOW THAT YOU ARE MORE EXPERIENCED, WHEN YOU LOOK AT THIS FIRST PICTURE, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS WRONG WITH IT?
I didn’t shoot in RAW. I heavily edited and over saturated my photos. I wasn’t in tune with my camera.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THIS SECOND PICTURE?
Fast forward to this year, I see a TREMENDOUS growth, and I’m starting to come into my own style. This is from a very recent session. It was just a fun, creative photoshoot that I wanted to do with my friend and her boyfriend. We wanted to be very glamorous, and capture just their love and the snow (that we so rarely get here in North Carolina). I specifically loved this photo because of the way he is looking at her and holding her so sweetly. Every lady wants a gentleman. I love to be creative, and I’m not afraid to try new things and to continue to work hard to become better in my work and styles.
WHAT IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST THINGS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO YOUR GROWTH AS A PHOTOGRAPHER?
Workshops, shooting RAW, manual focus, and learning the best ways to set all my camera settings. Keeping photos with a clean edit, and sometimes having fun with presets and overlays. Learning less is more in terms of retouching!
Thank you for sharing, Jessica! Beautiful improvement.
